The 6 looks
ClassicA line from high to low, the open on the left, the close on the right.
Beam barsEach bar is a lit tube that glows brightest where the trading happened, with a white notch at its busiest price. Busier bars draw thicker.
Echo bracketsFaint brackets show the previous bar's range. A bar inside it goes quiet, a bar that breaks both ends lights up gold.
Split stemThe left half of each stem shows buying, the right half selling. Whichever side is thicker did more of the work.
Pointer wingThe close tick points at the next key level price is heading for, up or down.
Length voteThe tick lengths show how far the close ended from the open. Long ticks mean a decisive bar, short ones an undecided one.
Everything still works on it
Indicators, drawings, key levels and readings line up on every chart style, because they all share the chart's time scale.
