1. Who is responsible for your data
WickSpeak is run by Berbe PTE Ltd, a company registered in Singapore. We decide how and why your personal data is used, which makes us responsible for it (in some laws, the "data controller" or "organisation").
This policy covers www.wickspeak.com, the WickSpeak charting platform, the free live chart, our emails and support. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. What we collect when you create an account
Your email address and name. A password if you set one, stored only as a one way hash, which means we cannot read it. If you choose to sign in through another provider such as Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider and store no password.
Your plan, trial and subscription status, the dates they start and end, and how you first found us (for example the page you landed on or a link you followed), so we know which of our pages are useful.
3. Payment details
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you add a card, you type it into a form provided by Stripe and the card details go to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store your full card number.
Stripe gives us a customer and subscription reference, the card type, its last four digits and expiry date, your billing country and your payment history, so we can show you your plan and invoices and deal with failed payments. Stripe uses your data under its own privacy policy, including for fraud prevention.
4. Your broker connection
If you connect a cTrader account, you sign in on cTrader's own page and we never see your cTrader password. cTrader gives us access tokens that let WickSpeak act for that account. We store these tokens encrypted and use them only to provide the service.
Through the connection we receive your cTrader account number, broker name, account currency, balance and equity, open positions, orders, trade history and the prices of instruments your broker offers. We use this to show your broker's prices on the chart, to show your account in WickSpeak and, only on plays where you switched live trading on, to place and manage orders.
When you remove the connection we delete the tokens. We keep a record of orders WickSpeak placed for you, so that you and we can check what happened.
5. What you create and how you use WickSpeak
We store the plays you build, their backtest settings and results, alerts, guardrails, drawings, chart layouts and preferences, so they are there when you return. We record the actions WickSpeak takes on your behalf, such as alerts sent, paper trades and live orders.
We also collect usage and device data: pages and features used, errors, your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location from your IP address, and times of sign in. We use this to keep your account secure, to limit account sharing, to fix problems and to understand which parts of WickSpeak are used. Our servers and our security provider keep request logs for the same reasons.
If you use the free live chart without an account, we collect only usage and device data.
6. When you contact us
When you email support or send feedback, we keep your message, your email address and anything you choose to include, such as screenshots, so we can answer you and improve the service.
7. Why we use your data, and our legal grounds
To provide WickSpeak to you under our terms: running your account, your trial and subscription, your broker connection, your plays and alerts. This is necessary for our contract with you.
To keep the service secure, stop misuse and repeat free trials, fix faults and improve WickSpeak. These are our legitimate interests, and we keep them proportionate.
To keep financial and tax records and to respond to lawful requests. This is a legal obligation.
To send optional emails and to use any optional cookies. Where the law requires it, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 applies, we collect, use and disclose your data with your consent or where that Act otherwise allows, for the purposes set out in this policy.
8. Emails we send
Service emails: trial and payment receipts, renewal reminders, failed payment notices, security messages, alerts you set up on your plays, and important changes to our terms. These are part of running your account.
Optional emails: tips on using WickSpeak and news about new features, sent at points in your trial or subscription. Every optional email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off from your account. Unsubscribing does not stop service emails or alerts you have set.
9. Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job described, and each bound to protect your data: Stripe (payments, invoices and fraud prevention); our hosting and database providers, currently Railway and Supabase; Resend (sending email); Cloudflare (delivering the website and blocking attacks); Google Analytics (counting visits and pages read, as set out in our Cookie Policy); and Spotware Systems Ltd, the maker of cTrader, when you connect a broker. If you sign in with Google, Google provides that sign in.
Your broker receives orders WickSpeak places for you, and handles your account under its own terms and privacy policy.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a company that takes over WickSpeak, which would have to keep to this policy.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
10. Where your data is stored
Our providers store and process data in several countries, which can include the United States, the European Union and Singapore. When data moves to another country, we rely on protections such as the provider's contractual promises, including standard contractual clauses where UK or EU law requires them, so that your data receives a comparable standard of protection.
11. How long we keep it
We keep your account data, plays and settings for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete them within 30 days, except as follows.
Billing and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, typically up to 7 years. Records of live orders placed through WickSpeak are kept for up to 7 years in case of a dispute. Server and security logs are kept for up to 90 days. Support emails are kept for up to 2 years after the conversation ends. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle.
12. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to object to some uses, ask us to restrict them, or ask for your data in a format you can take elsewhere.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We aim to reply within 30 days, and we do not charge for reasonable requests.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to your data protection authority: in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, the authority in your country.
13. Security and children
We protect data with encryption in transit, encrypted storage of broker tokens, hashed passwords and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the regulator where the law requires.
WickSpeak is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we find we have.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
