1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar space in your browser where a website can keep settings. Both stay on your device and can be cleared by you at any time.
2. Essential cookies
Sign in: a cookie that keeps you signed in to your account, lasting up to 30 days or until you sign out. Security: short lived values that protect sign in through another provider such as Google, and that help our security provider, Cloudflare, block attacks. Referral and first visit: cookies that remember which page or link first brought you to WickSpeak, lasting up to 90 days.
These are needed to provide the service you ask for, so they do not need your consent under most cookie laws.
3. Preferences stored in your browser
WickSpeak keeps your chart choices in your browser's local storage: things like chart type and look, indicator settings, layout, theme and the markets you last opened. This makes the chart load the way you left it. These preferences are not used to track you, and settings saved to your account are kept on our servers as explained in our Privacy Policy.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages are read and find pages that are not working. Google sets its own cookies for this, which can last up to 2 years. Where the law requires your consent for these cookies, we ask for it first, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on or your browser's privacy settings.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let advertising networks place cookies through WickSpeak.
5. How to control cookies
You can see, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. If you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in. If you clear local storage your chart preferences on that device will reset.
If we add or change cookies we will update this page and the date at the top. For questions, email [email protected].
