Volume candles: how it works and its 6 looks on WickSpeak

A new candle each time a set amount has been traded, so every candle holds the same volume. A thin candle means a rush of trading and a wide one means it took a while. Best on crypto, where the exchange reports every trade. On WickSpeak it comes in 6 looks.

The 6 looks

ClassicNormal-looking candles, each one holding the same volume.
Rush glowThe thinnest candles, where a full load of volume went through fastest, glow. That is a rush of money.
Efficiency colourColour strength shows how far price moved for the volume. A pale candle means a lot of effort for very little movement.
Split body (crypto)Buying and selling split inside each equal-volume candle: buyers from the bottom, sellers from the top.
Absorption dotsA gold dot marks candles where a full load of volume barely moved the price. Somebody soaked it up.
Delta tag (crypto)Each candle is labelled with how much more was bought than sold inside it, or the other way round.

Built from your candles

Volume candles is a activity based chart, so a new bar forms when price or activity covers a set amount, not when the clock ticks. WickSpeak sets that size automatically from how this market usually moves, and you can make it bigger or smaller.

Everything still works on it

Indicators, drawings, key levels and readings line up on every chart style, because they all share the chart's time scale.

Looks marked crypto use buying and selling data that crypto markets publish.
